Annual Appeal 5786/2025

Dear Beth Emeth Family,

As we enter the year 5786, Congregation Beth Emeth stands as a place where tradition and renewal walk hand in hand. For more than 180 years, our Congregation has been a home for Jewish life in the Capital Region, carrying us through moments of celebration and challenge alike. That legacy grounds us today as we write the next chapter together. In honor of that legacy and with hopes for the next chapter, we hope you will consider contributing to our Annual Appeal.

This year is one of extraordinary growth and possibility. We are witnessing a surge of engagement across generations – in worship, in learning, and in social action. Together we are launching a mission and vision process to guide our future, ensuring that Beth Emeth continues to be a spiritual home defined by warmth, authenticity, and inclusion. New leadership has stepped forward with energy and commitment, joining clergy, staff, and lay leaders in charting our path ahead.

And yet, even as we look toward the future with excitement, we are mindful of the realities we face. Beth Emeth is strong and stable, but like so many synagogues, we must confront financial and communal challenges honestly and faithfully. We cannot thrive without the generosity and dedication of our members.

Your clergy, staff, and leadership are devoted to supporting life’s sacred moments – joyous and solemn alike. We enter this year with open hearts, inspired by the past and hopeful for the future. Together, we will continue to create a community where Jewish tradition is alive and where every member feels they belong.

The Annual Appeal is an essential way to honor our tradition of tzedakah and to ensure the strength and endurance of Congregation Beth Emeth for generations to come. We hope we can count on your support this year. With gratitude, we thank you for being our partners in building a vibrant Jewish future at Beth Emeth.

Shanah Tovah,

Rabbi Greg D. Weitzman
